Huge congratulations to our Rebel News class! 🎬📰

While we didn’t bring home a state title at STLP, this group has so much to be proud of. Advancing to the semi-finals in both Feature Video and News Broadcast is an incredible accomplishment!

We were also missing several members of our team today due to other commitments, but that doesn’t take away from what this group has achieved. We are proud of every single one of them and the work they’ve put in all year.

They also competed in Cinemania and did an amazing job representing Owen County every step of the way.

This team continues to grow, push themselves, and do great things.

Rebel News hit the road again for our 2nd annual trip to Kentucky Sports Radio and it did not disappoint!

Callie Fitzgerald took over with her Hot Seat segment and Matt Jones gladly jumped in as her guest. She even got to be part of the show and made her NBA Finals pick… the Denver Nuggets because she loves chicken nuggets 😂🏀

We’re so proud of how our students continue to step up, represent Owen County, and make the most of these incredible opportunities.

Instead of simply telling the board and district leaders what it takes to produce Rebel News each week, the students decided to show them with a behind-the-scenes video highlighting all the creativity, teamwork, and effort that goes into every episode.

📸 Rebel News Sports Anchor, Michael Smith, tried something completely new—photography! For the very first time, he picked up the camera at Football Senior Night and even did his own edits.
