I am so proud of Lexington One Center for Law and Global Policy Development Senior Emily Coppney, who stepped out of her comfort zone tonight at our school board meeting to offer her perspective of El education and how it is has benefited her and others. She was eloquent and clear about how EL at RBHS has positively shaped her high school life and her future. Perhaps we should listen to her, and others like her, who have a voice, have the knowledge, and have the ability to build a brighter future….if we will only listen.

Antebellum Reformer Speed Dating in my APUSH classes at River Bluff High School this week! Each student is a different reformer and some will not be getting second dates!

This is a huge discovery and a culmination of both archival and archaeological research efforts. In our APUSH classes at River Bluff High School we have our students engage in both forms of research to learn more about the history of our campus and area.

The South Carolina Battleground Preservation Trust (SCBPT) is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit corporation established in 1991 and dedicated to the preservation of South Carolina's historic battlegrounds and military sites. Our board and staff work diligently to ensure the state's military heritage sites....

On Wednesday morning, the Granby Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and The River Bluff Historical Preservation Society held a Dedication Ceremony to recognize the service and sacrifice of African American World War One hero Private Davis Gantt. Gantt was mortally wounded in France in 1918 and died of complications from his wounds in February 1919. He was laid to rest with honors in the Historic Mt Zion AME Cemetery on the campus of RBHS in the spring of 1919. River Bluff Seniors Margaret Roddey, Kristen Hallman, and Kaylee Keisler told his moving story as part of the ceremony.

Just want to take a minute to give a BIG s/o to the River Bluff High School seniors who wrote & asked questions at last night’s debate b/w Congressman Joe Wilson and his challenger Adair Ford Boroughs.

Patton Byars, Laci Ellis & Hannah Smith did a phenomenal job on stage!

The other students in The Center for Law and Global Policy Development in Lexington One also did a fantastic job behind the scenes with the planning and ex*****on of the debate.

It was a pleasure working with The Post & Courier’s Avery Wilks to cover a range of issues.
