Kentucky lost an incredible entrepreneur this month.

Bruce Lunsford, a member of the Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame Class of 2012, passed away at the age of 78.

Bruce co-founded Vencor in 1985 and helped grow it into a Fortune 500 healthcare company with more than 65,000 employees across the country. Through Lunsford Capital, he also spent years investing in, advising, and supporting other businesses and entrepreneurs.

His impact went well beyond business. Bruce was deeply connected to Kentucky through philanthropy, public service, and Thoroughbred racing, and his career reflected a long commitment to building, investing, and giving back.

We’re grateful that his story is part of the Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame and grateful for the mark he left on entrepreneurship in our state.

Our thoughts are with Bruce’s family, friends, and everyone who had the opportunity to know and work alongside him.

Webb is the Co-founder of The Webb Companies and serves as the chairman of the board of directors. Today, The Webb Companies is one of the largest real estate developers in the U.S. and continues to develop new projects across the nation.

Check out this episode to hear how he spun unlikely odds into something incredible that was never about the financial reward, but about the end result coming together.

What would happen if you spent five weeks actually working on that business idea?

We’re partnering with the Danville community to bring the Entrepreneur Blueprint to Boyle County this fall.

Starting September 18, participants will meet weekly for hands-on lessons, practical exercises, feedback, and time dedicated to building or refining their business.

No endless lectures. The goal is to leave each week having actually moved your idea forward.

The program is free, lunch is included, and you’ll walk away with a workbook, a roadmap, and connections to resources that can keep helping long after the program ends.

September 18 through October 23 at BCTC’s Danville Campus.
