DDAC welcomed seven new apprentices this week and honored a recent graduate during a ceremony at Davidson-Davie Community College.

The seven apprentices, who officially signed with their partner companies during the ceremony included Ian Cash, Aiden Flynt, Joseph Kolbasowski, Corbin McCartney, Antonio Palacios and Jonathan Reagan, all with EGGER Wood Products, and Jackson Westervelt with Mohawk Industries.

The seven apprentices spent the summer in a pre-apprenticeship program. With the signing, the apprentices begin four years of on-the-job training with a DDAC member company and classes at Davidson-Davie Community College.

Kelby Leonard, who graduated from the program after completing his four-year apprenticeship with CPM Wolverine Proctor earlier this summer, was honored for his accomplishment during the event. He is now a full-time employee of CPM.
