Congratulations to HWES Principal Kim Troise who was recognized by the school board this evening for graduating from UVA’s SCOPE (Statewide Community of Practice for Excellence) program this spring. The SCOPE program is a two-year leadership development program for outstanding Virginia school leaders offered through UVA. We are proud of your achievements, Ms. Troise! Thank you for all you do! 💓

At this evening’s monthly meeting of the Lexington City School Board, VMI Athletics and Project Horizon were recognized by the school district as members of the 2026 VSBA Business Honor Roll. Thank you for your contributions and support of our schools. CONGRATULATIONS! ♥️

Thank you to the Fairfield Exxon and Little Oil Company for selecting Harrington Waddell Elementary School as the recipient of an Education Alliance Grant! The school will be able to support math and science programming with the $500 grant from our local Fairfield Exxon and Little Oil Company. 🎉

Congratulations to LDMS student, Kinley Carter, on winning the regional “If I Were Mayor…” essay contest sponsored by the Virginia Municipal League. Kinley was recognized at tonight’s meeting of the Lexington City Council and is pictured here with Lexington Mayor, Frank Friedman. Congratulations, Kinley!
