A few more first week moments from Waddell Elementary School— thanks to our students, staff, families, and Lexington neighbors for a great start this week! ✏️💙📓

LCS Superintendent, Rebecca Walters, visited first grade classes at Waddell Elementary School today to welcome students back to school and to read, “This School Year Will Be The Best!” written by Kay Winters. 🍎✏️📓

Lylburn Downing Middle School has created and built a culture of reading for all students and staff. ♥️ Every day before teacher advisory groups meet, students and staff schoolwide engage in 10 minutes of self-selected reading time. This daily experience provides an opportunity for all Trojans to enjoy reading books and text of their choice. 

Happy First Day of School to all of our Waddell and Lylburn Downing students and staff! It’s going to be a great year! ✏️♥️📓

We had the best evening welcoming our students and families back to school for today’s “Meet the Teacher” at HWES. Our first day of school is this Wednesday, August 12th! ✏️🍎📓
