So proud of all of the Leestown students who made and participated in the Fayette County Honors Band this weekend. They practiced Thursday night, all day Friday, and played an amazing concert this afternoon!The Leestown Way

Congratulations to the Leestown 8th grade band who received straight Distinguished Ratings today at the KMEA concert band festival! We are so proud of their hard work and growth this year! They represented Leestown through their behavior and their musicianship! Thanks to Mrs. Mcglone for helping us take the instruments there today!!

The Leestown Band had a great day at Solo and Ensemble festival! We are so proud of all of our students who participated and worked hard even after having 2 weeks off from school! Thanks to all of our amazing parents who are the real heroes for getting your students there, and supporting their passions! Here are some pictures we got of some of the groups.

So proud of all of the Leestown Cheerleaders!!! National champs! We have several cheerleaders thay are also in the band! We are so proud of all the many things that our kids can able to be involved in at Leestown! Congrats to their coaches Ms. Moosman and Ms. Engle!!
On Thursday several of our students auditioned for the Fayette County Honors Band. They have been preparing since before the winter break and staying after school to practice! We are so proud of all the students who auditioned and worked so hard!

Hello Band Families!
We are so excited for our first full concert of the year this Wednesday! The band students have worked SO hard and made so much progress and we can't wait to show off their work!
-The concert is at LMS and is a requirement for band students (it is part of their grade)
- Students should wear all black so that we have a professional look!
3:55 Students go home at dismissal
6:00 6th Grade Band call time in the gym (audience waits in the front lobby)
6:20 Gym doors open for audience
6:30 6th Grade Band Concert begins
6:45 (approximate) 6th Grade Band Concert Ends – audience exits through the gym exterior door.
7:00 7th and 8th Grade Band call in gym
7:15 (approximate) 7th and 8th Grade Band Concert begins
7:45 (approximate) Concert Ends
IF there is a snow day on Wednesday (we do not believe there will be) we will reschedule the concert sometime the next week.
