🛒 Our friends are hosting a Retail Readiness Training in Danville, INDIANA 🛒

Indiana Grown, Purdue Extension, and the MarketReady Producer Training Program invite producers and food entrepreneurs to a full-day, in-person Retail Readiness Training on November 17, 2026, at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds. This interactive workshop will help you understand what retailers look for and how to successfully prepare your products for store shelves.

Participants will gain practical guidance on:
⭐ Packaging and labeling
⭐ Pricing and merchandising strategies
⭐ Navigating wholesale, grocery, and specialty buyer relationships
⭐ Strengthening brand presence and boosting sales

Good farm records are a tool for making informed business decisions and protecting your farm when unexpected events occur. Join us for Cover Your Assets: Farm Records That Work for You, an educational session designed for specialty crop growers.

Participants will learn practical approaches to maintaining accurate, manageable farm records, including crop planning, crop rotations, crop reporting, and risk management. We’ll also explore how well-maintained records can support applications for disaster assistance and farm insurance claims, helping growers document their farm activities, production, and losses when it matters most.

🛒 Our friends are hosting a Buyer Tour in Northern Kentucky! 🛒

The Buyer Tours help connect local food producers with local food buyers. This program gives growers and producers a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like to sell to a restaurant, grocery/retail store, or school. Attendees can ask questions, talk with buyers, and enjoy a local lunch (provided by the program).

The goal of the tour is for growers and producers to learn about new market opportunities and how buyers work with local food producers to bring local food products into their markets.
