Freshman Academy students all participated in our annual Commitment to Graduation ceremony yesterday. Our 9th grade students learned about the importance of community and hard work, while dedicating themselves to graduating in 4 years!

This year, we had special guests, including our academy ambassadors, JROTC students with the Presentation of Colors, our BSHS Drum Core, and guest speaker Ricky Lumpkin. Mr. Lumpkin is an former professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Arizona Cardinals and Oakland Raiders. He also played college football for the Kentucky Wildcats. He gave our students wise advice and pointed them in the right direction.

We can't wait to see what you do, Class of 2030!

Ms. Davis' sociology classes will be working with the KY Student Voice Team this semester. They will be learning about research methods in order to develop and administer a school climate and AI use in education survey to students at BSHS. Just one example of the many awesome things happening in Station classrooms!

Day 1 of College Week was AMAZING! 🎓✨

All students were invited to stop by the College & Career Center to connect with our College & Career Coach and students in the AVID program to share their “BIG DREAMS.”

The conversations were powerful and sparked great reflection about what it really takes to turn a dream into a goal, and a goal into a plan. We’re just getting started! College Week is off to a great start!
