Lions Run for Sight 5K The Lions Run for Sight 5K is on Saturday April 4, 2026.

The 2026 Lions Run for Sight is now open for registration. Register before midnight November 30, 2025, to get the early bird price of $10 off the $35 event price! Create a vision team and when you get 4 of your friends to register and join your team, you will receive an additional $3 off your registration!

We also have Carrabba's Italian Grill back this year again to serve lunch to all participants. It was a huge hit last year, and we will again have close to 100 door prizes to give away!

Lions Run for Sight 5K The Lions Run for Sight 5K is on Saturday April 4, 2026.

After making the difficult decision to cancel our 38th annual Lions Run for Sight last Saturday, April 5, 2025, due to the unsafe weather conditions, we are pleased to announce that we have rescheduled our event for Saturday, April 26, 2025. Unfortunately, we were unable to get the city to allow us the use of Masterson Station Park for that date, so we have had to move it to Coldstream Park on the north end of Lexington, KY.

If you are registered for our event and can make the date, you don't have to do anything. If you can't make that date, we have also added a virtual component for registered runners. To switch to the virtual event, please contact Bob Baney from RaceRise ([email protected]) to be moved to the virtual event.

If you already picked up your packet at Fleet Feet, you are good to go for the makeup date, just make sure to bring your bib with the stapled door prize ticket to the run. We also plan to have another packet pickup at Fleet Feet before the revised race date. We'll announce that to our registered runners when we get that setup.

Lions Run for Sight 5K The Lions Run for Sight 5K is on Saturday April 26, 2025. It includes the following events: 5K Run/Walk and Virtual Runner/Walker.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!
Due to the line of thundershowers that are forecast to be occurring throughout the morning today, Saturday, April 5, 2025. In the interest of everyone's safety and time, we are cancelling today's race and will be making a determination on our next steps. All registered participants will be emailed about this cancellation, and we'll have another email Monday, April 7, 2025, regarding what our next steps are.

We apologize for this inconvenience, and this is the first time in 38 years we've had to cancel on race day. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

We know the weather is on everyone's mind, and it is on ours as well. We have conferred with our timer RaceRise and the plan is to proceed with the run on schedule. If you are still considering our event, please know that we'll be there, and we have the large indoor community room to get out of the weather before and after the race. Race day is Saturday! We are keeping an eye on the forecast as it looks like it could be wet. We will communicate Friday to let everyone know how things are shaping up.

We encourage everyone who can to do so to pick up their race packet Thursday 4/3/3035, between 4 and 6 PM at Fleet Feet Lexington located in The Summit at Fritz Farm (Address: 4084 Finn Way, Suite 140, Lexington, KY 40517). Pickup for friends, family and teammates is encouraged.
