Smart Beez Learning Center

At Smart Bees Learning Center, we celebrated Arab American Heritage Month this April by hosting a beautiful Arabic-style breakfast for our families. We shared a variety of delicious dishes, and we loved having everyone there. As always, the kids enjoyed seeing their families and spending time at the center—we always cherish these moments and the connections we build!

Spring in knocking on the door. So today, we had Gold Fish swim school coming over to talk to the children about the importance of water safety. 😊

This week, our Director Roaa traveled to Frankfort to participate in Strong Start Day at the Capitol, advocating for the children, families, and educators who make up the heart of the early childhood community.

During the visit, Roaa met with Representative Lindsey Burke and Senator Reginald Thomas to discuss why early childhood education matters and to share the real challenges many families face when trying to access quality, affordable child care. These conversations focused on how policymakers and community leaders can work together to better support families, strengthen the early childhood workforce, and expand access to care.

Events like Strong Start Day bring together early care and education champions from across the Commonwealth to stay informed about legislation impacting young children and to ensure the voices of families and providers are heard.

We are proud to advocate for our community and grateful for the opportunity to engage with leaders who are working to support Kentucky’s youngest learners and the people who care for them.

Thank you to the Prichard Committee, the Strong Start Coalition, and United Way of Kentucky for organizing this important day of advocacy.

This week at Smart Beez we had such a great time on Monday enjoying a healthy snack together! The kids loved sharing their holiday stories, laughing with friends, and spending quality time as a little school family.
We enjoy encouraging healthy eating in a fun and relaxed way, and moments like these make it extra special. Thank you to our families for helping us promote healthy habits at home and at school!
