Winburn Middle School

09/25/2026

📚 Winburn Middle School wrapped up Fayette County's "One School, One Book" initiative Wednesday with a family night celebrating literacy, culture and the diverse backgrounds of its student body.

"If you can get 750 middle schoolers to read at one time, I think that that's a pretty big success. But not only did they read, they enjoyed it and they connected with it." 📚

⚽️ GOAL WINBURN! ⚽️

Our Warriors had an absolute BLAST on their field trip to the Lexington Sporting Club soccer game! 🙌🏼💚

Students got to cheer on the team during a shutout victory over Orange County, meet the players and get autographs, AND even take a penalty kick on the field after the game! ⚽️🥅

These are the kinds of experiences our students will remember forever! 💙

A HUGE shoutout to Mr. Jones for putting so much thought, time, and planning into creating such an incredible experience for our students! 👏🏼

Goal Winburn! 🏆⚽️

WHAT A SEASON FOR OUR LADY WARRIORS!💙🏀

Congratulations to our Lady Warriors on an incredible, hard-fought season! 👏🏼 From the first game to the final buzzer, these girls showed up, worked hard, and represented Winburn with pride.

Our A Team made the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row!🏆🔥 But the wins didn’t just happen on the court—we’re proud of the growth, friendships, teamwork, leadership, and memories these girls created along the way.

We are SO proud of each and every one of you and the way you represented our school. And to our 8th players remember, Once a Warrior, always a Warrior! 💙

📚✨ Library Day Fun! ✨📚

Our 6th graders first Library Day was a success! 🧡💙 The kids had an absolute blast exploring everything our library has to offer at Winburn! Our librarian, Mrs. O’Brien, is the BEST!

They got to:
📖 Check out some new books
💻 Learn how to place books on hold online
🎨 Explore and create in the Makerspace
😊 And, most importantly, enjoy some time discovering the library!

We loved seeing them excited about finding books they wanted to read AND getting creative in the Makerspace. Such a fun day for these awesome 6th graders! 📚✨
