Today we celebrated the end of another incredible school year with our Closing Day Breakfast! We were honored to recognize our WISE Staff Members of the Year, our Warriors of the Year, and our amazing retirees.

🎢☀️ Our 8th graders had an amazing time celebrating the end of their middle school journey at Kentucky Kingdom this weekend! We loved seeing so many smiles, laughter, and memories being made as students enjoyed spending time together one last time before heading off to high school.

A huge shoutout to our 8th grade teachers and Mr. Broderson for giving up their Saturday to chaperone and help make this special day possible. Thank you for investing in our students and helping create a memorable experience for the Class of 2026!

Our Warriors celebrated on Friday with an End-of-Year Reward Day with a foam party, DJ dance party, tie-dye fun, Kona Ice, and games in the gym! From start to finish, it was a day full of smiles, laughter, and well-deserved fun.

We love getting the opportunity to celebrate all of the hard work, growth, and success our students have shown throughout the year. Thank you, Warriors, for making this year one to remember! 🧡💙

These athletes competed and represented Winburn Middle School at the Kentucky MS Track and Field State Championship Meet on Saturday May 30th, 2026. They have worked so hard all season, so help us in congratulating all of them!
7th grader Aubrey Shaub got 6th place in the 100 hurdles!
The 4x800 meter relay team made it in the top 20 of the state placing 17th. The relay consisted of 8th graders Steven Jones, David Rwembe, Brody Schweiterman, and 7th grader Nolan Standifur. 8th grader Aarko Guha was an alternate in the 4x800 meter relay team as well!
8th grader Michael Mbonekube placed 16th in the discus throw with 119.3 feet! He also competed in the shot put event on Saturday.
7th grader Peri Buck competed in the 3200 meter run and placed top 50 in the state placing 46th!

We would like to give a shoutout to Cass Concrete for sponsoring Chick-fil-A Breakfast for our entire 8th grade class to kick off promotion day! We are so proud of these student & love being able to celebrate them 💙🧡

We are so proud of every student who tried out and appreciate the hard work, dedication, and courage it took to perform. The judges had many tough decisions to make because of the incredible talent shown by all participants. Thank you to everyone who gave it their all — you should all be proud!

🎉 End-of-Year Reward Day is coming up on Friday, May 29th!

To attend, students must have:
✅ A 90% employability score since January 6th
✅ No more than 1 suspension this semester

Students with 2 suspensions can see Mr. Webster about reducing one through community service. Students with an 88% or 89% employability score may use saved eBucks to purchase an extra point to attend.

Interested in Tie-Dye? Be sure to bring your own shirt! Students may also want to bring a change of clothes for the Foam Party, though it is not required. Participation in the Foam Party is optional and will be part of the GFE rewards.

The Good Faith Effort rewards will include the Foam Party, Kona Ice, and outdoor fun. We can’t wait to celebrate an amazing year together! 🎉
