Upward Bound at Bluegrass Community and Technical College

Attention Juniors and Sophomores: the University of Louisville will be hosting a Junior Student Reception in Lexington! The event is scheduled for April 19th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Hyatt Regency Lexington 401 W High St, Lexington, KY 40507. Refreshments and food will be provided as well as information for various majors and programs. There will be an admissions presentation and the opportunity for students to interact with various UofL representatives and alumni.

Please Note: There is a concert at Rupp Arena on 4/19. The parking attendants will be at the gates charging for parking since there is a concert. However, please relay to your students that as they enter the parking lot through Gate A, they need to mention that they are attending the UL Jr Student Reception and they will not be charged.

June 11th– July 20th is currently scheduled for the 2018 six week Upward Bound summer program. Students will move in a day before the scheduled start date (June 10th). The current dates may change depending on weather make-up days for the counties we serve (potential dates due to weather make-up dates will be June 18th- July 27th).

Upward Bound will host a Parent Informational Meeting. This will give us a chance to meet, and to share information for the upcoming spring semester.

Fayette County and Clark County Parents/Guardian: Tuesday, January 30th, 2018 at 6:30 P.M. The meeting will be held at BCTC's Leestown Campus, 2010 Leestown Rd, Building C Room C-140.

Boyle County Parents/Guardian: Wednesday, January 31st, 2018 at 6:00P.M. The meeting will be held at Danville High School, 23 East Lexington Av, in the Media Room.

Notice: September, November and December Stipends have been printed. Students will receive their stipend when at the next school visit.

Update regarding the 2018 Summer Program: June 11th –July 20th is set to be our six week summer programming. If Fayette County has severe weather and they use the snow days set aside for June 11th – June 14th, then the summer program will run from June 18th- July 27th.
