The McTeggart School of Irish Dance is dedicated to promoting Irish dancing and culture for children and their families for the enrichment of the Lexington, Kentucky community. Classes are under the instruction of Maureen Hall, ADCRG, Allison Duvall, TCRG, and Brooke Harris, TCRG.

Thank goodness the weather is finally planning to cool down - just in time for the official beginning of North America's fall season. That means we're also looking ahead to the start of the Celtic season of winter with Samhain (November 1). https://www.kyirishdancers.org/celtic-year-ceilithe

Our 🎃 Samhain Céilí 🎃 - the first of our next cycle of Celtic Year Céilí community dances - will be on October 17, 3-6pm.

💸 Participants with Studio Pro accounts may have their accounts charged for the event. Folks can also pay $10 at the door by cash, check Venmo, or Paypal.

👕What to wear: Wear comfortable clothes for dancing and shoes with smooth or leather soles. Rubber-soled shoes with treads tend to stick on our floor, and aren’t terribly fun for dancing!

🍪What to bring: Snack to share. If you’re a musician, bring your instrument!

❔What to expect: We are building our set dancing skills! Some of the dances are better-known to the dancers, and others are not. If you’re a complete beginner, please join us. You’ll be supported through better-known dances by experienced dancers, and you’ll learn less familiar dances along with everyone else. You don’t need a partner, though you’re welcome to bring one.

We're excited to offer additional free trial class opportunities this fall for Wee Ones (ages 3-4), children (ages 5-12), and teens (ages 13-17)! These free trial classes kick-off short 5-week class sessions, allowing participants to try Irish dance without a long-term commitment. Share with your friends!

Our sound wizards rolled high with their spells of bardic inspiration and the performers of Tahl's Court + the Beeserker Mead Hall played and danced wonderfully for the appreciative crowds.

Join us again today at the Lexington Renaissance Fair at Masterson Station Park (10-5) and then head to Tahlsound Presents: From the Bayou to the Bluegrass for a grand finale to this year's Summer Concert Season and a celebration of Louisiana in New Orleans.
