This afternoon the Blue Ridge Battalion hosted the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (GAFPB) Ceremony. Furthermore, two VMI AROTC Cadre; MSG Martin and SFC Lopez, received the Order of St. Maurice. To recognize all of the hard work they both have done for the VMI Ranger Challenge Team and the Blue Ridge Battalion. Congratulations to all!

Being a team captain for Ranger Challenge isn’t just about leading; it’s about setting the standard and embodying resilience every step of the way. Whether it’s the early morning PT sessions, grueling field exercises, or overcoming obstacles, the role demands commitment, adaptability, and a relentless drive to push the team forward. This position is more than a title—it’s a responsibility to inspire, support, and challenge each other to reach new heights. Together, we’re not just building physical strength but a bond that turns us into a family, ready to tackle any mission that comes our way.

Day 2 Action Shots!! Fall FTX for Blue Ridge Battalion is in full effect!

In the pictures above you can see our junior cadets in action doing warriors skills such as CBRN, Call for Fire, and Claymore use at McKethan park. These crucial skills will be valuable lessons as they prepare for their upcoming Cadet Summer Training and to dominate on the battlefield!

Our freshmen cadets in alpha company are also at McKethan park doing movement under fire, ambush, and react to contact lanes. Establishing a strong foundation to use in their journey towards building their army skills and knowledge!
