🎨🐻 CALLING ALL BRITTON ARTISTS! 🐻🎨

Ready to **create, experiment, and make your mark at Britton?** Art Club is coming this October!

Whether you love **painting, drawing, sculpting**, or just want to explore new ways to create, there’s a place for you. **All grade levels are welcome!**

🖌️ **What will we do?**
🎨 Explore new art mediums & techniques
🧱 Collaborate on community murals and large-scale school projects
✏️ Enjoy open studio time to develop your own ideas and portfolio
🤝 Create alongside other Britton artists!

👩‍🎨 Advisor: Ms. Rachel Losch
📍 Where: Room C128 — Art Room
📅 First Meeting:Monday, October 12
⏰ When: Mondays after school until 5:00 p.m.

Our 8th graders celebrated their first Team Day of the year! Students who earned the opportunity through their eOS percentages and grades enjoyed free time, karaoke, games, and more.

We are proud of these students for demonstrating strong academic performance and positive behavior. Keep up the great work, Bruins! Your effort is paying off!

rvest Mum Buddies Sale!

Harvest Mum Buddies are coming to MEB Volleyball! The Harvest Mum Buddies program consists of two types of products. A premium greenhouse quality mum, and a fall themed tin character pot (Mum Buddy). People are buying mums and fall decorations anyway, so these products will be easy to sell! Write down your own personal order if you want one, and then please take orders from friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers.

Important dates
Kick off day: September 21!
Turn in day (Paper order forms and money due to school): September 25!
Online Sales will last until: September 28!
Delivery day/time/location: October 9th at 5:00pm.

Things to remember

For paper sales, all checks should be made out to Mary E. Britton Middle School Volleyball
Please have all money AND order form in the student envelope when you turn it in on turn in day.
Please make sure all information is filled out on the order form and the envelope.
We will only be having one pick up day, so please show up!
YOU can pick up all of your orders OR arrange for your customers to come to school on pick up day!

Online sales

- On Kick Off day, you will receive a “kick off” information email from [email protected]. (check spam folder). Follow the simple steps in that email to participate in the online sale!

If you don’t see the email, follow the instructions below:
- Parents, please visit www.fundraiseit.org
- Click the green "Online Shopping" button.
- Enter the following information: Your child's entire (LAST NAME), PART OF (FIRST NAME), and PART OF GROUP NAME (Mary E. Britton Middle School)
- Share your link and begin selling!

Prizes:
Every player who sells at least 10 items will earn an ice cream sundae social!! :)

Our 8th-grade ELA students became “Theme Detectives” as they investigated how themes develop throughout myths! Students examined characters, conflicts, key events, and lessons to gather evidence and uncover each story’s deeper meaning.

On September 18, our Britton football team proudly supported the Frederick Douglass High School Broncos during their Homecoming celebration! Our Bears enjoyed participating in the parade and tailgate party before cheering on the Broncos at the Homecoming game.

We are proud to be part of the Frederick Douglass community and grateful for opportunities that strengthen the connection between our schools. Go Bears, and go Broncos!
