Looking for music lessons this fall? 🎶

Families who enroll in CMA’s new paid lesson program, the Play it Forward Initiative, are eligible to enroll in half-hour private lessons for $30 per lesson and/or 10-week ensemble sessions for $200.

Students can choose from a wide variety of instruments and receive personalized instruction from qualified professional musicians. Lessons are offered Sunday through Friday with flexible after-school scheduling, based on instructor availability.

Best of all, every paid lesson helps fund Central Music Academy's tuition-free lesson program, expanding access to music education for more young musicians in our community. As with all programs at CMA, lesson placement is based on instructor availability, and spaces are limited.

We are sad to learn of the passing of Dr. George Zack. While many knew him as the long-time conductor at the Lexington Philharmonic, we were lucky enough to have him as a founding board member of the Central Music Academy. CMA was a small and unknown nonprofit and having the support of board members like Dr. Zack gave us credibility. Dr. Zack served as a CMA board member from 2004 until 2014. In 2016, he was the event honoree at CMA Rocks The House. Dr. Zack was a huge supporter of the arts and it was a privilege to work with him. His dedication to music will impact the Lexington arts community for generations to come.

Join us for a fun, interactive Family Drum Circle at Central Music Academy! Open to children of all ages (and their grown-ups!), this free community event is a chance to make music together in a welcoming, high-energy environment. No experience is needed—just bring your hands, heart, and sense of rhythm! Drums and percussion instruments will be provided.
