This years theme, "Roots of Love: Breastfeeding with Pride and Power," highlights the cultural importance, traditions, and adaptability of breastfeeding within Latina/x communities. Roots of Love highlights how breastfeeding can be deeply connected to family, culture, tradition, identity, and community. This year we recognize the generations of knowledge and traditions that have been passed down through Latina families that have shaped each family's feeding journey. Pride and Power encourages Latina/x mothers to embrace their culture, identity, and individual experiences while standing together and supporting one another through the societal challenges that can impact breastfeeding.
