Last Friday, 13 members of the National Kappa Alpha Fraternity volunteered at Boxerwood as part of their National Convention. They planted our grant funded trees and shrubs, caged and protected them, and filled and distributed watering bags to each. Their two hours of work equated a full day of work for our garden staff. A big thanks to these young men and their willingness to dig and get their hands dirty! All but one of the men were from other states, so it was a joy to get to introduce them to one of Rockbridge County's hidden gems.
