From West Music:

At West Music, supporting music educators has always been at the heart of who we are. It's a commitment built not only through our programs and workshops, but through the incredible people who dedicate their lives to helping teachers grow.

One of those people was Jeanna McGlaughlin.

Jeanna served as West Music's Workshop Coordinator and a beloved member of our family for more than 37 years. Her life's work centered on supporting educators and creating meaningful learning experiences through Orff Schulwerk, Kodály, and World Music drumming. Because of her passion and care, countless teachers (and their students) benefit every day.

In her honor and through the generosity of her friends and family, we are proud to announce that the 2026 Jeanna McGlaughlin Scholarship application is now open. Hey All,

This is Christy Bock posting here on the AOSA page ;-).

I want to join the apprenticeship program to be an SAAOSA recorder teacher, but to do so I need more experience working with adults. Would anyone be interested in forming a recorder consort? We'd probably meet at my school - Cedar Bluff Elementary in Knoxville perhaps every 2 weeks. If you are interested, can you let me know? Thanks!
