The moment you've all been waiting for: The Equality Gala 2020 theme announcement! This year, the theme is 1920's Masquerade. The gala is taking place on March 21, 2020 in Evans Dining Hall from 8pm-12am. We hope to see you there!'
Keep an eye out for tabling in commons the week leading up to the gala—we will have memorabilia including glassware and stickers. Drop by and support—after the gala, General’s Unity will be making a donation to Rockbridge High School’s Gay-Straight Alliance.
Tickets will be $10, though if you table for the event, your ticket price is free! As a plus, a sticker is included with your ticket. Glassware will go at $5 for a pint glass, $3 for a shot glass, or $6 for a bundle of both.
So please, get excited! Spread the word and bring your friends. It’s going to be a blast.

Funny that people can preach the importance of diversity, tolerance, and love for others right next to a man condemning LGBTQ people to hell. I’d like to ask everyone to please be mindful of what voices you are inadvertently uplifting by choosing to ignore hatefulness in your community. No one should feel pressured to tolerate others’ opinions when they are used to oppress or otherwise harm minorities.

please take a moment to remember the 49 lives we lost two years ago today, then consider what you can do to ensure that a tragedy like this never happens again. pray on behalf of the victims, survivors, and the community, but also reach out to support your local LGBTQ community and LGBTQ organizations worldwide. most importantly, don’t forget to vote on Nov. 6 🌈🇺🇸❤️

show that you’re proud of your LGBTQ+ family and friends by being the best ally you can be 💕 and for people in the community, remember that we’re all in this together and we still need to be allies to one another as well 🌈
