Bluegrass Montessori School

Bluegrass Montessori School The Montessori primary environment includes children ages 3-6 years old (preschool and kindergarten)

BMS offers our children opportunities to develop their potential as they step out into the world as engaged, responsible, and respectful citizens with an understanding and appreciation that learning is for life. Given the freedom and support to question, to probe deeply, and to make connections, Montessori students become self confident, enthusiastic, self directed learners. They are able to think critically, work collaboratively, act boldly, and gain the skills necessary to be successful in the 21st century. We see our school as a joyful, peaceful, respectful and extraordinary educational community.

We were so excited to have the children return after spring break! They came in happy, rested, and thrilled to see one another again.

We kicked off the week by planting zinnia flower seeds in bright, colorful pots. We also explored the Earth’s water cycle and enjoyed the enchanting story “The Adventures of Drip, Drop, and Nimbo”, written by our very own retired teacher, Mrs. Bull. The children loved learning about the water cycle and how three little raindrops help the plants grow and even help fish breathe.

What a gift to have the author herself joining us in the classroom while Ms. Netzel finishes her trip to Italy. We miss her dearly and can’t wait to welcome her back on Thursday! 🌷☀️Ms. Sculli
