4-H is the youth education program of the University of Nebraska Extension and the United States Department of Agriculture. 4-H is people - youth - and volunteer leaders - sharing, learning, growing - becoming the best they can be. Nebraska 4-H is
comprised of youth, ages 5-19, and adults. 4-H is one of a kind! 4-H provides a series of learning experiences where youth, with help from parents, interested adults, and older youth leaders, grow personally as they develop skills for living and for responsible citizenship. 4-H'ers have fun while they work and learn together. 4-H happens through club meetings, project groups, individual project work, and special activities and events. Skills learned through 4-H help people to be better members of their families, their communities, and their world. 4-H opens doors to career development and to leisure time activities. The 4-H mission is “4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential, working and learning in partnership with caring adults.” 4-H accomplishes it's mission through information education. From now – October 31, 2026, Casey’s and 4-H are joining forces to strengthen the communities they call home. With more than 2,900 stores across the Midwest and South, and more than 2.5 million active 4-H’ers in those areas, this partnership is helping more young people become Beyond Ready to lead and give back – locally and beyond.

You can help support 4-H at Casey’s in two easy ways:
- September 30 - October 11: round up your in-store purchase to donate to 4-H.
- September 30 – October 31: add a donation in any order made online or in the Casey’s app.

Every donation benefits local 4-H programs.

💪 Ready to build strength, improve balance, and stay active?

Join Stay Strong, Stay Healthy, an evidence-based strength training program designed for older adults, though adults of all ages are welcome! Whether you're new to exercise or have been active for years, this class is for you. No exercise experience is needed, and individuals of all physical ability levels are welcome.

Classes will be held via Zoom on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Central Time, October 5 through December 2, 2026.

What you'll need:
• A laptop, tablet, or smartphone with internet access and video/audio capabilities.
• A sturdy chair without wheels.
• Ankle weights and dumbbells are recommended for the best results (participants bring their own equipment).

Calling all Dawson County 4-H Volunteers! Volunteer Road Show will be in Lexington November 19th!

Calling all 4-H volunteers, parents and caregivers and any adult who wants to help 4-H youth be ready for life and work in their future! 🍀

You're invited to join us for one of our upcoming Volunteer Road Show events:

November 1 – Virtual
November 2 – Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension Center
November 8 - Neligh
November 17 - Virtual
November 19 - Lexington

You'll discover new opportunities for your members, network with other volunteers, and build your skills working with youth. Session topics include:
- Artificial Intelligence for 4-H Volunteers: Tools to Work Smarter, Not Harder
- Telling the 4-H Story
- Project Training: Healthy Lifestyles
- Beyond Ready 4-H Clubs
- Fairbook Feedback

In-person session registration fee is $15. Virtual sessions registration fee is $10.
