We’re officially two days in, and we’re already calling it a success! Our little learners are settling into routines, making new friends, and filling our school with plenty of smiles, laughter, and learning.

From sweet hellos and classroom adventures to new friends, lots of play, and maybe a few first day tears, our little TCS friends jumped right into the school year!

As we begin this new school year, we pray that God guides our teachers, watches over our students, and fills our school with His love, joy, and peace!

A few tears at drop-off quickly turned into smiles, laughter, and lots of fun! What a sweet first day of school. So thankful Jesus has called us to love these kids, walk alongside their families, and be part of these precious moments. We truly have the best job!

’Twas the Night Before the First Day of School ✝️ 🎒⛪️

’Twas the night before school, and all through TCS halls,
Not a student was stirring, no footsteps at all.
The nap bags were ready, the classrooms just right,
As teachers prepared for that first-day delight.

The crayons were sharpened, the name tags displayed,
And everywhere you looked, special touches were made.
For sweet babies, so precious and small,
And all of our toddlers, we’re ready for all!

Our two-year-old kiddos will soon make their way,
With giggles and wiggles to brighten the day.
Our three-year-olds, Pre-K, and TK crew too,
There’s learning and laughter just waiting for you!

Mr. Harley jumped in getting classrooms prepared,
Moving and helping and showing he cared.
He pitched in wherever a hand might be due,
Helping make sure we were ready for you!

And then there’s Mr. Gary…Where do we begin?
If something needs doing, you know he jumps in!
From early in the morning till late in the day,
He fixes and carries and finds us a way.

He’s moved it, repaired it, unlocked it, and found it,
And if there’s a problem, somehow he gets ’round it!
Behind every classroom all polished and bright,
There’s a good chance Mr. Gary helped make it just right.

And Miss Dolores has a special gift too,
She sees what needs sparkle and knows what to do!
With a ribbon, a flourish, a touch here and there,
She adds something special because she just cares.

And returning once more, keeping watch every day,
Is Deputy Parker… hip, hip, hooray!
Keeping our children and school family safe,
We’re so glad to welcome back his familiar face.

Now teachers are home with their last-minute thoughts:
“Did I label the cubbies? Did I miss any spots?”
While parents are wondering, “Will they be okay?”
And children are dreaming of their very first day.

Some babies may cry, and some toddlers might too,
Some grown ups may shed a little tear or maybe a few!
But soon there’ll be friendships and stories to share,
With teachers who love them and people who care.

And before morning comes, we’ll bow down and pray,
Asking God’s blessing on each brand-new day.
May the love of Jesus shine brightly here too,
In all that we teach and in all that we do.

May each child who enters know they’re loved beyond measure,
Created by God, each a beautiful treasure.
May His grace fill our classrooms, His peace fill our halls,
And may we show Jesus through big things and small.

Tomorrow these hallways will come back alive,
With little feet running and big dreams arriving.
From our little babies to TK standing tall,
There’s a place here for each one, we’re ready for all!

So rest now, dear teachers, dear families, dear crew,
Tomorrow begins something wonderful and new.
With prayers for our children and hearts full of light,
The rooms are all ready, the welcome is bright…

Happy First Day to all, and to all a good night! 🎒🍎✏️❤️🙏⛪️

We ended summer camp with a BANG!

Our campers battled it out in an epic game of Capture the Flag and let’s just say things got a little colorful!

They ran, laughed, strategized, cheered each other on, and somehow ended up covered in every color of the rainbow! What better way to wrap up an amazing summer than with a little friendly competition and a LOT of fun?!

What a summer it has been! We’re already missing these campers!

⏰ 72 hours.
🎨 25 gallons of paint.
🧼 35 boxes of Clorox wipes.
🧱 6,000 LEGOs.
🪑 One suspiciously teeny-tiny teacher chair.
😬 60 teachers hand-wringing, label-making, furniture-moving, and asking, “Does this look straight to you?”

Add approximately 427 trips to the supply closet, a few “WHO HAS THE STAPLE GUN?!” texts, and an unreasonable amount of love… and you’ve got our TCS Back-to-School Prep: Teacher Edition. 😂❤️

They’ve painted. They’ve scrubbed. They’ve organized. They’ve moved that bookshelf three times. They’ve stood in the doorway staring at the room. They’ve moved the bookshelf back.

And somehow, in the middle of all that beautiful chaos, they’re creating spaces where our kids will feel welcomed, known, challenged, and loved. 🥹

We’re saving the full reveal for the big day…

But we’re terrible at keeping secrets. 👀

Here’s a little sneak peek. ✨🍎
