Southside Technical Center

In the state of Kentucky, ​​​​​​PSR means a student has the knowledge, skills and dispositions to successfully transition to the next big thing! We are proud to say that 97% of our 12th grade students meet the PSR requirements through dual-credit, industry certifications and/or 300 work-based learning hours. This a testament to the hard work of Southside teachers, students & community partners. Way to go out on top Southside! Congratulations to all our 2025 Southside graduates. We know you will make incredible contributions to your communities.

We hope all our students have had a wonderful last day of school today! Tomorrow we're wrapping up the final day of Southside Technical Center with our annual end of year breakfast. We're so excited to have local spoil our teachers with a delicious meal! Biscuits & gravy, check. Tissues not included. 😢

It's true, it's cool to go to school! This year, we had 92.47% attendance rates, higher than pre-COVID19 rates even! Great job students and teachers for making Southside a place where everyone wants to be!

At the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, Dr. Liggins challenged each school to focus on the 3As this year: Acceleration, Attendance & Achievement. For the next 3 days, we will share our data. It's safe to say "We understood the assignment." ✅

For the first year offering CTE dual-credit courses, our goal was for 50% of students to earn dual credit.... The results are in and it includes 9th-12th graders!

The celebrations continue!! The final Spring Nurse Aide class of Southside Technical Center leaves a legacy of 100% pass rate on their State Registered Nurse Aide Exam. The Fall group had a 93% pass rate!

A chapter is closing, but the memories will last forever. ☀️ We had a wonderful time at Southside's final student picnic today. It was great to see everyone come together one last time.
