Born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and arriving to Lexington Catholic High School, via Tampa, Florida, Mrs. Carol Ritchie has left an indelible mark on all the organization she has been a part of. Though working often behind the scenes, her dedication to the ministry of Catholic education is at the heart of her work as Director of Information Technology at LCHS.

She earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Tennessee before beginning a 14-year career with IBM in Tampa, Florida. After moving to Lexington, she joined Christ the King School where she has served for a decade as a classroom teacher and IT director.

At LCHS, she has spearheaded the implementation of our help desk, upgrades to our technology infrastructure, and launching the BYOD program. She continues to monitor our server functions and our schoolwide cyber security and was instrumental in our launch of KnightTV. To keep current with educational technology and infrastructure, Ritchie continues to participate in workshops and courses to ensure a positive learning environment for our students.

When asked about his work with Ritchie, Mr. Michael Tate, math teacher, says “Ms. Ritchie is a very intelligent and highly capable IT Director and advocate for Lexington Catholic High School.” “She was a great mentor for me during my time in IT, and I have been fortunate to work alongside her.”

One of Ritchie’s most memorable experiences at Lexington Catholic was her first Halloween. Expecting a typical school event, she was impressed by the creativity of the students, who did not simply wear costumes but coordinated costumes as characters, from still-life statues, campers to the Transformers.

When asked about her work at LCHS, she feels that she is helping shape the future. “I’m surrounded by dedicated students and colleagues,” said Ritchie. “I have appreciated the relationships, laughter and shared experiences that define the school community.”

Outside of school, she enjoys hydroponics and gardening. She is the proud parent of two LCHS graduates who are part of the Lexington Catholic family.

Lexington Catholic High School is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Specialist to help keep our campus safe, clean, and welcoming. Responsibilities include custodial services, preventive maintenance, repairs, grounds upkeep, safety inspections, and event setup. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver with experience using maintenance tools and equipment and handling basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work.

Hours follow the school calendar, and some evenings and weekends are required. A high school diploma or equivalent and a background check are required. Pay is based on qualifications and experience.

Lexington Catholic alum Stefan Morgan, a former Navy special operations and current U.S. Marshal, visited our Exemplar Scholars today as part of our Leadership Series. He talked about his life experiences, his faith, and why it matters to discover what makes you truly happy. Congratulations to Graham Leslie on being named to the 2026 to 2027 AAU Diving National Team! Graham will represent the United States in international competition this winter, first in Aachen, Germany from November 1 through 8, then in Rzeszow, Poland from December 15 through 22. We could not be prouder to see a Knight competing on the world stage.
