19 Lexington Catholic students, parents, alums, and staff travelled to the Mustard Seed Community in Montego Bay, Blessed Assurance, to serve the 32 special needs children who are cared for there. We had the blessing of helping nourish the children physically, spiritually, and emotionally for the week. We fell in love with them as we fed them, conducted health clinics, painted the boys' dorm, enjoyed Mass together, and PLAYED. Play-Doh, bubbles, Bingo, dance parties, four-square, field day, and so much more. The "birthday" celebration on Friday night was one of the highlights. Amid the devastation of Hurricane Melissa, their hope, love, and joy shine through. They acknowledge the miracle of surviving that disaster and choose to BE THE LIGHT! Praise God.
