We loved seeing everyone rock the latest decades and channel their inner professor/teacher spirit this week. And yes… we definitely noticed the growing group of “Mrs. Buddendecks” 😉

In a Catholic school, we talk a lot about teaching as a ministry of love and presence, Mrs. Buddendeck you have been the hands and feet of Christ in the classroom.

Your patience with struggling readers and writers wasn’t just a teaching strategy; it was a testament to your faith. You looked at every single child and saw a unique, valuable soul. You showed them the kind of grace, mercy, and unconditional support that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Words have the power to change lives and you have changed many.

For over 25 years, you used your words to lift up others. You didn’t just fill their heads with grammar, literature, religion, math, science, and who knows what else; you nurtured their hearts.

Now, the book is closing on this specific chapter of your life, and a beautiful new one is beginning. It is finally time for you to put down the red pen, close the lesson book, and enjoy the retirement you have so richly earned.

You have blessed SPPS with more than we could ever repay you with in thanks, your legacy will remain in these halls and with the lives of those you have taught!

THANK YOU!

All of our students surprised Mrs. Buddendeck with a special song today just for her💐
