Major Thomas Lewinski - Born January 12, 1800 in London England. Lewinski was considered by many to be the most significant Architect in Kentucky prior to the Civil War. A number of other "Architects" were practicing in the state at the time, many of national significance, but Lewinski - seemingly eclipsed them all.
Among his credits are Ashland - home of Henry Clay, Jacobs Hall - the main building at the School for the Deaf and Dumb in Danville; Ward Hall in Scott County and dozens of others.
Although much of my research has been appropriated by others (often with no credit), I will publishing a major work on the Architecture of Thomas Lewinski in 2027.
