The Larry Kelly Memorial Traveling Gavel was presented to WB Dan Kemble, by WB Alan Martin (Master) and Bro. Tim Bramble.
The Larry Kelly Memorial Traveling Gavel was created to honor Brother Larry Kelly, Past Master of Flat Gap 616. Brother Kelly became a dual member of Jake Rice Lodge # 606 in 2019 and made significant efforts to revitalize the membership and activities of Jake Rice Lodge. In 2021 he was elected to the office Master of Jake Rice Lodge. Three months into his term he was called to lay down his working tools and join the Celestial Lodge Above where the Grand Architect of the Universe resides. To honor his memory, this gavel was created and intended to travel with no boundaries. One year from May 10th, 2025 the Brothers of Jake Rice Lodge will travel to the gavel's location to retrieve it and bring it back home.
