Homeschool Hangout Update!

We have a new schedule for our Homeschool Hangout program this Fall! We will continue our second Tuesday of the month session but the time has changed to 2:30 to 3:30 PM. We have also added a Friday session each month at the same time. We hope this gives all our homeschooling families a chance to explore the library and meet new friends! We need your input about our Homeschool Hangout program! We have hosted this program for many years with many different families visiting with us each month but we want to meet YOUR needs. If you are currently homeschooling and interested in meeting up with other families to "hangout", discuss curriculum or simply make new friends and explore the library please leave a comment telling us what time and what day of the week works best for your family! Summer Reading has come to an end and we want to thank YOU for joining us at the library all summer long! We UNEARTHED tons of stories, learned about dinosaurs, fossils, local history, and more and we couldn't do it without our community.

We want to thank our Friends of the Oglethorpe Library volunteers for their time and energy this summer and for the fundraising they do all year round to ensure we can host so many great events every year!

We want to thank the Maxeys Woman's Club volunteers for showing up each week with a smile on their faces to help make every event run smoothly. We really could not host event after event without their helping hands and great attitudes!

We would also like to thank our local sponsors:
Oglethorpe Feed & Hardware Supply donated the corn for our corn pits.
Foxglove PlantBar donated the plants for our Teen Terrariums event.
