RARO 8U Allstars continued to swing the bats well Friday, collecting 10 hits, but came up short in a 9-4 loss to Florence Babe Ruth League 8U.

RARO struck first in the third inning when Sailor S ripped a double down the left-field line and later scored as the offense capitalized on a Florence error to take a 2-0 lead. Florence answered with an inside-the-park home run before Aubrei C’s RBI groundout put RARO back in front, 3-2, in the fourth.

The game turned in the bottom of the fourth as Florence used timely hitting to plate five runs and take control. RARO continued to battle and never quit, adding another run while continuing to put runners on base.

Ellie P, Nora K, and Kennedi H led the offense with two hits each, while Sailor and Aubrei each drove in a run.

Although the result wasn’t what they wanted, RARO finished the World Series showing resilience, determination, and an offense that never stopped fighting. This group represented Rockbridge with heart all week, creating memories they’ll carry long after the final out. Way to battle, girls! 💙🥎

RARO 8U’s Incredible World Series Journey Comes to an End

This unforgettable run at the Babe Ruth World Series came to an end Thursday with a 12-0 loss to a talented Fern Creek squad.

Despite the final score, these girls never stopped competing. Adley W and Sage C each collected a hit for RARO, and the defense turned a double play, continuing to fight until the final out.

This tournament was filled with unforgettable moments—big wins, comeback battles, clutch hits, and memories that will last a lifetime. Representing Rockbridge County on the World Series stage is an accomplishment these young athletes should be incredibly proud of.

Congratulations to our players, coaches, and families on an amazing season. From 2nd place at the Virginia State Championship to battling the best teams in the country, RARO Allstars proved they can play with the nation’s best. The future is bright for this special group of girls! 💙🥎
