One of the things that makes a Montessori education so special is how seamlessly it builds — nothing is taught in isolation, and nothing is ever really “finished.” A concept introduced at 2 years old is still being built upon well into middle school. 🟤 Toddler begins with the Brown Stairs, learning big and small through touch alone, no numbers required.
🔵 Primary moves to the Decanomial Bead Box, where multiplication becomes something they can see, hold, and build.
🟢 Lower Elementary takes it further with the Substitution Game, introducing squaring and cubing for the first time.
🟣 Upper Elementary completes this chapter with the Cubing Materials, using the same bead-bar colors to concretely prove the algebraic equation behind cubing numbers.
This is what continuity of education really looks like — one seamless path from Toddler all the way through Middle School, where every stage prepares your child for the next. Same colors, same pattern, deepening year after year. 💛
