From storm clouds to sunshine… our first day was a bright one at GME! 🐺☀️
We may have started the morning with thunder, lightning, and plenty of rain, but we ended our first day with sunshine—and a whole lot to celebrate!
Our Wolves spent the day learning what it means to be part of the Pack: practicing cafeteria routines, building classroom communities through getting-to-know-you activities, reconnecting with friends and teachers, and even taking part in a Humanities Boot Camp in the gym!
There was excitement, learning, laughter, and lots of practice as we began building the routines and relationships that will set us up for a great year.
Day 1 is in the books, Wolf Pack! 💚🐺
Here’s to a year filled with Joyful Rigor, Innovation, Community, and Growth! 🚦

🐺💚 A Green Light Moment for the Wolf Pack! 💚🐺
Last night, members of our Garrett Morgan Elementary staff traded in their school shoes for running shoes and took on the Midsummer Night’s Run 5K! 🏃♀️🏃♂️
This was one of our first Green Light Moments of the new school year—an opportunity to put one of our GME priorities, COMMUNITY, into action.
We ran. We walked. We encouraged each other. We crossed the finish line at our own paces. And we did it while supporting an important cause in our local community.
Race donations from A Midsummer Night’s Run support the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation’s Yes, Mamm! Yes, Cerv! program, which provides free mammography screenings, diagnostic services, and program support for uninsured or underinsured women and men. 💗
At GME, community is about more than what happens inside our school walls. It’s about showing up—for our students, for one another, and for the community we call home.
Last night, our Wolf Pack showed up! 🐺💚

🐺 MEET THE WOLF PACK: SUPPORT STAFF
It takes an entire pack to make each school day successful! Our paraeducators, cafeteria team, custodians, school resource officer and school nurse care for our students and school in countless ways. They provide learning support, prepare meals, keep our building safe and welcoming, and care for students when they need a helping hand.
Much of their work happens behind the scenes, but their impact is felt throughout GME every day. Help us thank these essential members of the Wolf Pack! 💚💛❤️

🐺 MEET THE WOLF PACK: SPECIAL EDUCATION
Our special education team works alongside students, families, and staff to ensure every Wolf is known, valued, supported, and challenged. They recognize each student’s strengths, provide individualized support, and create meaningful opportunities for students to learn, grow, and belong.
We are proud of the skill, dedication, advocacy, and heart this team brings to our school community! 💚💛❤️
