Tonight, the University of Kentucky came part of a handful of schools across the nation that approved a completely student funded photovoltaic solar installation on campus by approving our proposal for a 4kW system in the engineering quad! Thanks to the UK Student Sustainability Council and energy club members Jessica, Luke and Ben for all your hard work!!!

The Energy Club presents Bill Bissett, President of the Kentucky Coal Association at the Marksbury Building at 7pm (free pizza!).

The Power and Energy Institute of Kentucky presents David Samford will on “Monopolies and Regulators – The Retail Pricing of Electricity” at 3:00pm in 323 RMB (Robotics and Manufacturing Building).

For all those that are interested, the Power and Energy Institute of Kentucky (PEIK) is holding a seminar today from 3-3:50pm in 323 RMB (Robotics and Manufacturing Building). It is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.

The Energy Club would like to invite you to our first Energy 101 seminar of the semester tonight at 7 pm in the main room of the Davis Marksbury building. The topic "US Energy Policy, Electricity and Our Renewable Future" will be lead by the always engaging Dr. Jack Groppo.

Bluegrass PRIDE is holding an energy summer camp from June 11th-15th, 9am-4pm at the Arboretum. They will be educating local youths on varying types of energy and could use some UK students to help out as volunteers, full days or partial days.
