Hello from Brevard, NC, friends and family, post Hurricane Helene.
I just got electricity and Internet back, which I am ecstatic about. Katie and I and Nate Dog are all doing great. We had only minor damage at our house. There are many trees down, houses with trees on them, mudslides, and roads washed out. We have everything we need here, and the town of Brevard was largely spared. I heard from Steve Brown, LHS Class of 1987, yesterday. Steve informed me that Brett Baker, also of our class, passed away Monday morning, September 11, 2023. Very sad and sobering news.
