Our students recently had the opportunity to tour Egger Wood Products. During the tour students were able to learn about production, future job opportunities and their apprenticeship program. With graduation approaching for some of our students, we are excited to provide with them information they can use to plan for life beyond high school.

At our October RISE Day, students participated in Mock Interview Day, gaining valuable real-world experience in communication and professionalism! Community volunteers and business leaders joined us to help students practice interviewing, receive feedback, and build confidence for their future careers. Students showcased key skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, active listening, and self-presentation. We’re so proud of their growth and excited to see them take these skills into the world beyond the classroom!

This past week, we held our Fall Semester Student Led Conferences. Student Led Conferences are embedded into the culture of Davidson County High School. These meetings are a great way for our students to develop soft skills and begin advocating for themselves. While some students may be nervous about them at first, the students and families find them to be valuable in developing skills for life beyond high school graduation.
