June is called “minazuki” and is a month of water. The water is needed for the rice planting season. The rainy season begins in June and is crucial for irrigating the rice fields. The name “minazuki” translates as “month of no water,” but it is thought the “na” is used more as a particle rather than a negation of water. #水無月　 #梅雨
