My name is Stiliana Nikolova. I was born in Ruse, Bulgaria, a beautiful city on the banks of the Danube River in Europe. For the past 26 years, Kentucky has been a beloved home for me and my family—my husband, our two gorgeous daughters, and the newest addition to our family, my granddaughter.
I hold a Master of Arts in Education with majors in Elementary School Teaching and Grades 5–9 Mathematics from universities in Bulgaria and EKU. I am deeply passionate about helping students grow and succeed. This is my 20th year teaching, and my first at Crawford Middle School, where I will be teaching 7th-grade math.
In my free time (if I have any!), I love:
Reading and discovering new favorite books.
Enjoying movie nights (at any time of day!) with my granddaughter.
Spoiling my fur-grandbaby, Miya, with treats, snuggles, cheese, and evening walks.
Spending time at the sea, on the lake, or near any swimmable body of water.
I am so eager to get into the classroom, meet my students, and dive into 7th-grade math together. Let’s make it a wonderful and successful year!

Exciting news! Crawford Middle School Leadership Academy is starting Kentucky Youth Assembly (KYA)! This is a mock state government that gives students an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of issues that impacts our communities, develop critical thinking skills, and articulate their beliefs while engaging constructively with their peers around Kentucky. There will be a day where students and staff travel to a conference to share their ideas for change. This is an exciting new leadership opportunity for our students this year. Hello everyone! My name is Alexandra Meade, however, you will hear most people call me Zan! I was born and raised here in Lexington. I graduated from Lafayette High School in 2022, then went to Morehead State University and graduated in May of this year! Shortly after graduation, I got married!!! I am so excited to get to know everyone and make meaningful connections in the community. I love to drink coffee, cook, travel (this picture is from my honeymoon in Sitka, Alaska), hike, get my nails done, and read! I hope everyone has a great rest of their summer and I can’t wait to meet all of you!!

Hi!!! My name is Hannah Peace and I am so excited to be joining CMSLA! This will be my 13th year in education.

One of my favorite things about teaching is seeing the joy in my students when they overcome challenges.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, building Legos, and dabbling in DIY home remodeling.

Hi! I'm Cherish Cannon, and I'm excited to join the Crawford Middle School Leadership Academy family! This is my 11th year in education. I'm originally from Elizabethtown, Kentucky and I earned my bachelor's degree in Health Promotion and Kinesiology Education from the University of Kentucky and my M.A.Ed. in Principalship at the University of the Cumberlands.
I previously taught Health Education at Southern Middle School, where I also coached cheer for eight years.
Outside of School, I serve as the head cheer coach at Tates Creek High School and own a private tumbling business, so I'm pretty much always on the go! In rare moments I have free time, I love traveling, cooking, and spending time with my Maltipoo mix, Millie. I'm also a proud "dog mom" and "cheer mom" to all of my athletes.
I'm excited to be teaching a couple helath courses, serving as part of the MTSS team and getting to know the students, staff and families at CMSLA. I can't wait for a great school year!
