Keltie Louise Hays Peay, 46, of Nashville, Tenn., passed away on Aug. 7, 2020. Keltie Louise Hays Peay, 46, of Nashville, Tenn., passed away on Aug. 7, 2020. Keltie was born on Oct. 29, 1973, in Lexington and was the oldest daughter of Willard and Peggy Hays. She grew up on post at Virginia Military Institute.

She wasn't affiliated with LHS, but if you were a "city kid", you knew Mrs. Walker at Lylburn Downing. She was a SAINT to put up with middle school kids as long as she did. Rest In Peace, beautiful Mrs. Margaret. ❤️

Margaret was born Feb. 20, 1934, in Lexington, a daughter of the late Lewis Greene Sr. and Angeline Haliburton Greene.

Michael Greenlee Van Ness, 49, died March 29 Michael Greenlee Van Ness, Esq., of Lexington was loved by an eclectic group of people because he listened to them — and because he himself loved so broadly, deeply, and enduringly. On March 29 at age 49, Michael passed away due to a stroke, heart disease and kidney failure in Lewis Gale Hospital.

Hello friends, it is with a heavy heart this morning that I write this post, our dear friend and classmate Mike Van Ness (LHS '88) passed away suddenly this weekend. More information coming soon. Our love goes out to his brother Ray and all of the family.
*Edit: it was a stroke, he was having breathing treatment but the Corona virus test at Lewis Gale hospital was negative. Please be thinking of Mom Jeannie, Brother Ray and Sister Mandy (Amanda). ❤️
