Big congratulations to Jusnier Gastell Coira, lead custodian at Garrett Morgan Elementary, for receiving the 2026 Impact Award from the Kentucky School Plant Management Association!

A former technology teacher in Cuba, Mr. Gastell uses his hard work, kindness, and bilingual skills to create a safe, welcoming, and joyful environment for our students every single day. 🏫

Our middle school student-athletes left it all on the course during the FCPS Championship at Masterson Station Park! Competing in the 4,000-meter race (Grades 6-8), these runners showed incredible grit and determination.

This fall, FCPS launched the One School, One Book initiative to boost literacy and build connection! Every middle schooler, teacher, custodian, and bus driver received a copy of a novel centered on belonging. 🚌🍎

At Winburn Middle, families celebrated reading "Invisible" with culture quilts, global projects, and live performances showcasing the 12+ languages spoken on campus! 🌍💃

Leslie Vaughn, a dedicated school psychologist at Crawford Middle School and Martin Luther King Jr. Academy, has been awarded the 2026 KAPS Best Practice Award for the Greater Fayette County Region! 🏆

She was honored during the Kentucky Association for Psychology in the Schools fall conference for her outstanding work under this year’s theme: "Unbridled Impact: Leading. Advocating. Supporting."
