NCLGISA & Google Admin Bootcamp

On Tuesday, July 22, a collaborative team of educators came together to host the Google Admin Bootcamp, welcoming over 80 K–12 technicians and CTOs for a full day of learning and networking.

We were honored to be hosted by Southeast Alamance High School at their beautiful new campus. Thank you Dennis Frye, CTO Burlington Alamance Schools.

Presentations were led by John Warf (MCNC), Cory Rankin, and Chad Coble (NCLGISA), who shared valuable insights and practical tools. A special thanks to Mike McKay and Debby Atwater (DPI), as well as Amy Walker (NCLGISA Education Chair), for their leadership in organizing this successful event.

It was a fantastic day of professional growth, collaboration, and community!

NCLGISA members have had a busy week!

Randy Cress, Mark Seelenbacher, and Scott Clark traveled to Florida to attend FLGISA, where they presented the NCLGISA Strike Team model. They shared how this dedicated team has been actively supporting local governments, educational institutions, and other organizations impacted by cyberattacks. We’re proud of their work and the positive impact they’re making across North Carolina...and beyond.

We are delighted to share some heartwarming moments from a recent food drive for children in Western North Carolina, led by NCLGISA Business Partner Chair Amy Walker from Ashe County. This event was organized to support those impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Special thanks to Amy and everyone who participated in making this event a success. This food drive was supported using funds from business partners left over from our Fall conference.

Let's continue to support each other and make a difference in our communities!
