Tonight we recognized Mrs MacCay as the Classified Hero at the DCS Board Meeting.

Rebecca McCay is our Classified Hero because of her unwavering dedication, positive attitude, and willingness to support others. She works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our school runs smoothly and consistently goes above and beyond for our students, staff, and families. Rebecca’s kindness, dependability, and commitment to Tyro Elementary make her an invaluable part of our school community. She was also selected as our Support Staff of the Year for the 2025–2026 school year, a well-deserved honor that reflects her outstanding service. We are truly better together because of her!

Tyro Elementary Exceeded Growth!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Tyro Elementary’s exceeding growth for the 2025–2026 school year! This accomplishment reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, teachers, staff, and families.

Our students demonstrated academic progress beyond expected growth, showing what is possible when high expectations, purposeful instruction, and a strong school community come together.

WDHS Seniors greeted students and parents this morning in the car rider line. They started our Bears day with a “Good Morning” and a high five! Always great to see the student athletes (and former Tyro Bears) out in the community!

Day 1 with our amazing students! Our halls were filled with smiles, laughter and we all received the “I missed you” hugs throughout the day! Students were engaged in All About Me and getting to know your classmates as well as learning the expectations for the school year.
