Maury River Middle School

What an incredible 8 days in Costa Rica with an amazing group of student and adult travelers!

As a middle school principal, much of my day is spent working with and mentoring students who need extra support and guidance in making positive choices. While that work is important and rewarding, trips like this provide a unique opportunity to spend quality time with students who consistently make great decisions, represent our school well, and embrace every opportunity placed before them.

It was refreshing to give these students my full attention, learn more about their interests and aspirations, and watch them grow through new experiences and challenges. They were outstanding ambassadors for our school, and I couldn’t be more proud of how they conducted themselves throughout our journey.

Below are highlights from our adventure, including the incredible wildlife, breathtaking native flora, and some amazing stops along the way. Thank you to these students and their families for making this experience one I will never forget!
