The Lady Flyers headed to The Woodford Club today to compete in the Region 9 Championship. They all played hard but came short as a team, finishing in 3rd place and just missing the opportunity to advance together to the first round of the state tournament. Emerson Bowling, Mary Clayton Rodgers and Lyla Hardesty each earned spots as individuals and will be moving on to play at Stonecrest Golf Course next week for an opportunity to play in the final round of state in Bowling Green. Good luck girls!

On Saturday, September 5th, the Lady Flyers played in the Gene Hilen Invitational. This prestigious girls’ golf event honors the legacy of long time Juniper Hill Golf Professional Gene Hilen. In addition to being named a Kentucky PGA Golf Professional of the year, he was also an inductee into the Kentucky Golf Hall of Fame. However, some consider Gene’s most enduring legacy to be the commitment he made to growing and supporting women’s golf and junior golf. What an honor for the Lady Flyers to play in this tournament and bring home a 5th Place Team Finish - 327!

⭐️ Mary Clayton Rodgers led the Lady Flyers with a 74 and a 4th place finish.
⭐️ Emerson Bowling had a top 20 finish with a 78 to place 16th.
⭐️ Lyla Hardesty had a top 25 finish with an 80.
⭐️ Charlie Hix rounded out the team with another great round of 95.
