Week one of the 3rd Annual Districtwide Summer Musical Intensive is in the books! This past weekend, Bryan Station High School was honored by Kentucky Performing Arts for Behind The Scenes Excellence at the 2026 Bradley Awards in Louisville! We would like to congratulate the entire cast and crew of Sweeney Todd: High School Edition under the direction of Kala Cookendorfer Chaffin, especially the students listed above who were recognized specifically. The KPA Bradley Awards is the musical theatre competition for the States/Region of KY/Indiana, allowing qualifying students to participate in the national Jimmy Awards in New York City.

Please join us in congratuating the Fine Arts students across Fayette County Public Schools who were selected to be a part of the GSA Class of 2026 for Instrumental or Vocal Music! This three week summer program provides college level instruction in 9 arts disciplines for over 500 students annually and will occur between June 7th and the 27th at Northern Kentucky University.

Without any further ado, we are excited to announce the Student Leadership team for the 2026 Districtwide Summer Musical Theatre Intensive, Seussical! These students, under the guidance of performing arts professionals, will use their skills behind-the-scenes to ensure that the performance runs smoothly.

We are excited to congratulate the listed Fayette County Public School Fine Arts students who were accepted for Creative Writing or Graphic Design for the 2026 session! This three week, tuition-free summer program aims to nurture young artists through college-level instruction, mentorship, and providing scholarship opportunities. The program will occur between June 7th and the 27th at Northern Kentucky University.
