We are excited to welcome Mrs. Stephenie Louya to Sheets Memorial Christian School!

Mrs. Louya is a graduate of Western Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education and brings valuable experience in Christian education. She has always had a heart for children and knew from a young age that teaching was the calling God placed on her life.

A few fun facts about Mrs. Louya:
☕ She loves coffee!
🎢 She loves roller coasters, movies, and reading books.
🐾 She has a basset hound named Minnie who she loves with all her heart.
💍 She was recently married! (this past weekend 🙌)

We are thankful the Lord has brought Mrs. Louya to SMCS and look forward to the joy, enthusiasm, and Christ-centered love she will bring to kindergarten!

🦅 Welcome to the Eagle Family, Mrs. Diane Morton!

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Diane Morton as our new SOAR Director for the 2026-2027 school year.

SOAR exists to come alongside students and families by providing targeted academic support, encouragement, and individualized strategies that help students develop confidence and achieve success.

Mrs. Morton brings educational experience, a heart for students, and a passion for helping children reach their God-given potential. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Belmont Abbey College and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Queens University of Charlotte.

As a fellow SMCS parent, wife, educator, and lifelong learner, Mrs. Morton understands the importance of partnering with families to help students thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.

Please join us in giving Mrs. Morton a warm Eagle welcome as she begins this new role serving our students and families!

After sharing yesterday's paving and soccer field updates, here's another look at the work happening around campus this summer!

The preschool and gym roofs have been professionally coated for added protection, and new skylights have been installed at the preschool.

We're thankful for the partnership between our school and church and for everyone who helps make improvements like these possible. Every project is an investment in the students and families we serve.

Speaking of improvement… 👀

You may have noticed a little extra sand on the soccer field recently.

No, we’re not building a beach volleyball court. 😄

The Eagles Club has been hard at work helping improve the playing surface by leveling areas, improving drainage, and preparing the field for healthy grass growth. It’s one of those projects that may not be flashy, but it makes a big difference for our student-athletes.

A huge thank you to the Eagles Club and the volunteers who continue investing their time and effort into making our campus better. We are grateful for your servant hearts and commitment to SMCS! 🦅💙💛

🦅 Campaign Promise: Fulfilled!

Student Government President (2026-2027) Jude Howell promised to get the potholes patched.

Well, Jude… we’re not saying you won the election because of your platform, but we are saying the potholes are disappearing. 😄
