🇺🇸 We Remember | September 11

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, and remember the families whose lives were forever changed.

Twenty-five years later, may we never forget the bravery, sacrifice, and unity shown on that day. We continue to pray for our nation and for those who serve and protect others each day.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13

🏃‍♀️🦅 It’s almost Jog-a-Thon time, Eagle Family! 🦅🏃‍♂️

Mark your calendars for our 24th Annual SMCS Jog-a-Thon & Family Picnic on Friday, October 2! 💙

This is one of our favorite SMCS traditions—a day for our students to run, walk, have fun, and come together as an Eagle Family! This year, we have set a goal of $45,000 to continue strengthening safety and technology across our campus.

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day, Eagle Family! 🇺🇸

As we live out this year’s theme, Called to Serve, Labor Day is a wonderful reminder that the work God places before us is also an opportunity to serve Him and others. 🦅

Sheets Memorial Christian School will be closed Monday, September 7th, with no Eagle Care.

We pray our Eagle families enjoy a safe, restful holiday together—and students, enjoy that extra day of sleep! 😴

Sheets Memorial Christian School extends our heartfelt condolences to the family of Fred McClure.

Coach McClure shared his love of basketball with generations of SMCS students, serving as a coach at Sheets for many years. We are grateful for the time he invested in our students and for the part he played in the history of our school.

We are praying for the McClure family and all who knew and loved Coach McClure during this time.

Once an Eagle, always an Eagle. 🦅

There’s just something special about hearing our students worship. 🤍

We are so grateful for the time we get to spend together in Chapel each week and for the way our students are learning to worship the Lord freely and wholeheartedly.

What a privilege it is to partner with our families and local churches as we train the next generation to know Him, love Him, and serve Him. 🙌

📖 Sheets Memorial Baptist Church welcomes you to join our Ladies’ Bible Study this fall!

SMCS moms, grandmas, aunts, friends, and ladies throughout our community—we would love for you to join us as we walk through Better: A Study of Hebrews by Jen Wilkin.

Our 10-week study begins Thursday, September 10, from 9:00–10:30 AM. Each week includes five days of at-home study followed by a time of teaching, discussion, and fellowship together on Thursday mornings.

Day 2: Spiritual Emphasis Retreat

Today we spent a beautiful day at Camp Caraway enjoying team-building activities, time in the lake, a delicious lunch, and lots of fun and fellowship!☀️

We ended the day with worship and a meaningful chapel message from Pastor Luke. We pray these two days have laid a strong foundation for a wonderful year of growth in our students’ faith, hearts, and relationships! 🦅

Spiritual Emphasis Retreat — Day 1 👏🏽🦅

Today our high schoolers had the opportunity to focus on unity and teamwork during Day 1 of our Spiritual Emphasis Retreat!

Pastor Luke brought wonderful messages that encouraged our students’ hearts and challenged them to focus on this year’s theme: We Are Called to Serve.

There was plenty of fun, lots of laughter, and so many memories made along the way! We pray that the lessons learned today and the memories made will stay with our students for a lifetime.

We’re already looking forward to Day 2 tomorrow! 💙🙌🏽
