Our volleyball team wrapped up their final home game tonight with a WIN, and we couldn’t be prouder of our student-athletes!

Coach Walker and Coach Melton also made the evening extra special by planning a celebration for their 8th grade players, recognizing the hard work, leadership, and memories they have contributed to the volleyball program.

At Davidson Charter Academy, we love seeing our students have opportunities to grow, build relationships, be part of a team, and create memories that extend beyond the classroom. Moments like tonight are a wonderful reminder of the community that makes DCA such a special place for our students and families.

Davidson Charter Academy is charging forward with strong academic growth across every tested subject! ⚡️

We are proud to celebrate the meaningful progress happening across our school. DCA earned an academic growth score of 82, with every student subgroup demonstrating growth across all tested subject areas.

Proficiency rates also increased across the board:
👉 Reading: +2 percentage points
👉 Mathematics: +4 percentage points
👉 Science: +3 percentage points

These results are a reflection of the hard work, dedication and perseverance of our students, teachers, staff and families. Together, we are building on a strong foundation and continuing to raise the bar for what is possible at DCA.

We are proud of this progress, excited about the momentum ahead and committed to reaching even greater heights.

Meet Your 2026–2027 DCA Middle School Student Council!

We’re excited to introduce the officers and representatives who will be serving on this year’s Middle School Student Council!

These students will have the opportunity to represent their classmates, share student ideas, develop leadership skills, and help make a positive impact throughout our school community during the year ahead.

DCA families, we’re looking forward to welcoming you to Curriculum Night this evening from 5:00–7:00 PM!

Tonight is all about connecting, learning, and partnering together for a successful school year. Families will have the opportunity to hear from their child’s teachers, learn more about classroom expectations and procedures, and discover ways we can work together to support every student.

Talk about a SWEET surprise!

Last week, on one of those extra hot days, Dr. Alexander decided our Chargers deserved a little something cool!

She rolled up to each classroom in her ice cream truck, music playing and treats ready to go! Every student got a special treat—and the smiles said it all!

And yes… even our middle schoolers were ALL about it! Because you’re never too old for a surprise ice cream break!

Thank you, Dr. Alexander, for making an ordinary hot day extra sweet!

Celebrating Our Chargers! 🎉

The end of the school year was BUSY, and we didn’t get the chance to properly celebrate one of the things we’re most proud of: our students’ hard work and academic success!

We’re giving a well-deserved shoutout to all of our students who earned A Honor Roll and A/B Honor Roll in Quarter 4 of the 2025-2026 School Year!

Your dedication, perseverance, and commitment to doing your best did not go unnoticed. We are so proud of each and every one of you!

Congratulations to all of our Honor Roll students and a HUGE thank-you to the families who helped them get there!

🏐 First win of the season! 🏐

A big congratulations to our Girls Volleyball team on picking up their first win yesterday! We are so proud of these girls and all of the hard work they have been putting in this season.

It’s always exciting to see our students working together, encouraging one another, and representing DCA with pride. We’re proud of this team and can’t wait to cheer them on for the rest of the season!

Ms. Weir’s class kicked off the year with a meaningful activity inspired by I Am Enough by Grace Byers.

After reading the story together, students created self-portraits while talking about what it means to know that you are enough - just as you are.

We love creating a classroom where students feel seen, valued, and confident in who they are. Because every Charger deserves to know: You are enough. You are important. You belong. 💙💛
