More than 50 brothers from the Zeta Upsilon Chapter (Arizona State) and approximately 10 from the Nu Chapter (Kansas) traveled across the pond to London to cheer on their respective football teams for today’s matchup between the Arizona State Sun Devils and Kansas Jayhawks at Wembley Stadium.

The weekend has provided a unique opportunity to bring Sigma Nu brothers from these chapters together. Yesterday evening, Brother Dominic Frattura (Arizona State) organized a joint Zeta Upsilon and Nu Chapter reception to welcome and connect collegiate and alumni brothers ahead of the game.

Late last week, brothers across the nation came together to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call that day. Several chapters marked the anniversary by hosting their own 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs or participating in campus climbs, ascending more than 2,200 steps in remembrance. The climb symbolizes the 110 stories of the World Trade Center towers and honors the first responders who climbed toward danger to save others.

Among the brothers who participated was Gamma Pi Chapter Brother Dean Fremont (West Virginia), who joined members of the Cheat Lake Fire Department in climbing 110 stories while wearing full firefighting gear. Through the demanding tribute, Fremont honored the bravery and sacrifice of the first responders who rushed into the Twin Towers to save as many lives as possible.
