Harrington Big Backyard Needs Your Help! 🌳🐦🦋
Do you love being outdoors?
Do you feel happy when your kids are outdoors?
Do you care about the environment?
If you answered “yes” to any of the questions above, the Harrington Big Backyard team NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Looking for a volunteer to LEAD BBY WALKS & SHADOW TRAININGS for GRADES K - 2 in SPRING, FALL & WINTER. This includes:
Be a Back-up Volunteer - Lead groups of students when a class doesn't have enough volunteers.
Shadow the Trainer - This starts as a learning experience only. No need to lead trainings at this time.

The Town, in partnership with LPS Green Teams and the Lexington Zero Waste Collaborative, are hosting a “pumpkin smash” on Tuesday, November 5th from 11 am – 1 pm. Black Earth Compost will be there with a truck to collect pumpkins for composting. A fun—and sustainable—way to discard of pumpkins after Halloween!

Harrington Elementary families,

The day is here! You can now sign up for our Harrington Glow Run! Our goal is to raise $15,000 to help support our Arts & Science Enrichment program (ACT) which provides curriculum coordinated workshops for each grade. These workshops include topics such as electromagnetism, forces in motion, light & color, pollination, and weather systems, as well as cultural performances and visits from wild animals! In addition funds will benefit beautification and accessibility improvements for our outdoor spaces, including but not limited to the outdoor classroom, the playground and the garden.. Signing up is easy and free!

Hello Harrington Hawks!

Happy first day of Fall! Our Fun Run is fast approaching. We hope you can join us on Sunday, October 6th at 10am at Harrington!

Come and enjoy a super fun morning filled with family and friends, light exercise, a teacher’s race, and lots of school spirit! We are excited to have our post-race snacks generously donated by Wicked Bagel, Wilson Farm, and Wegmans in Burlington.

$15 for an individual entry and $25 for a family entry. All proceeds to benefit future fun and activities at Harrington.

On Jan. 16th from 7pm to 8pm all 4th graders and their parents (or other adult companions) are invited to join us for a playful evening of hands-on mathematical exploration at Family Math Night. Enjoy dozens of diverse math- and logic-based puzzles and games; Activities are designed to be appropriate for all 4th graders, regardless of math background, and regardless of whether they already love math or haven’t yet discovered how much there is to love.
When: Tuesday, January 16th from 7pm to 8pm.
Where: Cafeteria.
Who: 4th graders and their family.
