Phi Beta Kappa Now Accepting Pauling Early Career Fellowship Applications

Phi Beta Kappa is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the Norman G. Pauling Research Fellowship for Early Career Scholars! You can click on the button below to download the application form and return to PBK by May 15.

Four $20,000 awards will support outstanding scholars whose work demonstrates the value of an arts and sciences education to individuals as well as local, national, and global communities. You will find eligibility requirements and application submission guidelines in the application package linked below. Projects should explore one or more of the following:

• Connections between the liberal arts and sciences and a vibrant democracy
• Illustrations of how the liberal arts and sciences contribute to the public good
• Importance of integrating multiple perspectives to addressing intractable challenges
• Examination of the Society’s impact and its roles in U.S. history and culture

Please share this announcement with PBK faculty on your campus and widely throughout your institution to help us recognize deserving scholars in arts and sciences disciplines, uplifting not only individual scholarly ideals, but the vital importance of the study of the liberal arts in today's complex society. Phi Beta Kappa membership is not required to be considered for an award.
