World Religions Minor is pleased to announce the inaugural lecture by Prof Philipp Rosemann - Cottrill-Rolfes Chair in Catholic Studies!
Prof Rosemann will be speaking on
“Catholic Space, Catholic Time, and the Performative Power of the Word,” an Inaugural Lecture for the Cottrill-Rolfes Chair in Catholic Studies (Arts and Sciences).
Monday, 3 April, 4.00 p.m., Young Library Auditorium.

World Religions Minor is excited to invite everyone to the 2023 Clark Lecture, given by Prof. Deborah Deliyannis (Indiana University), on “Picturing Goths and Heretics in Early Medieval Ravenna.”
This will be a fascinating perspective on relations between Orthodox and Catholic Churches, and also perceptions of ethnic identity in an imperial context, as revealed in art and architecture.
Mark your Calendars:- Thursday, 30 March, 4.00 p.m., at the Hardymon Theatre in the Davis-Marksbury Building (Rose Street).

The Program
The minor in World Religions explores the diversity of religious practices and beliefs and the place religious traditions have in a complex, globalized world. World Religions could be an excellent minor for you if you are interested in religious traditions other than your own, or want a deeper understanding of the history and impact of your own religious tradition.
To enroll in the World Religions Minor, please fill out this form: https:// forms.as.uky.edu/all-program-declaration-form. It will go to an Arts and Sciences advisor.
A minimum of 18 credit hours, including ANT 335: Religion in Everyday Life is required. Nine credit hours must be at the 300 level or above. Six must be from a prefix outside of the major.
